Organization of PROACT
PROACT is financed by the industrial funding partners. Most activities of PROACT are performed by the programme partners,
institutes of TU Graz or other research institutes in the Graz area.
Funding partner
PROACT is an initiative of NXP Semiconductors [nxp] and Graz University of Technology [tugraz]. NXP Semiconductor funds the PROACT programme. In future, additional industrial funding partners are welcome. Financial funds are managed by the Stiftung Secure Information and Communication Technologies (SIC) [-> sic.iaik.tugraz.at].
Organization
The organizational structure of PROACT is flexible. The coordination committee defines the organizational structure of PROACT. It decides which institutes become partner of the programme, it appoints a programme manager that is responsible for all coordinative and administrative tasks necessary for the daily business of the initiative.
Coordination committee
The coordination committee prepares a
workplan for the programme and acts as a controlling
body. The coordination committee consists of a member from NXP Semiconductors, the rector of TU Graz, a member of SIC, and one member of each of the two faculties electrical engineering and computer science. The coordination
committee typically meets twice a year.
Programme coordinator
The programme coordinator is responsible for the
daily business tasks of PROACT. Coordination tasks and management of the programme are the responsibility of the programme coordinator.
The programme coordinator is fully responsible for execution of
the workplan stipulated by the coordination committee. ...[contact]
Programme Partners
Research institutes located in the Graz region that carry out active research in the area of RFID technology are potential PROACT partners. All programme partners can
benefit from the incentives of the programme instruments. To facilitate
an efficient launch of the programme, the programme partners are selected from institutes of TU Graz in the beginning. New partners can join
